Hey guys,

So I recently went traveling and my first stop was to Budapest Hungary and I wont lie I was very nervous as I had no idea what it will be like and if the people there would be friendly or not. However I can safely say Budapest totally took be by surprise and I absolutely loved it. I would recommend everyone to visit Budapest; it was seriously one of the best experiences of my life. :)

In this post I will give you 10 reasons why you should make your next trip to Budapest.

1. The scenery is insane!!!

I had no idea how beautiful Hungary was until I got there. The pictures really do it no justice; the mountains and all the natural beauty was just breathe taking. In fact our tour guide told us the tram that ran across the riverside was ranked as the 7th most beautiful tram routes in the world. However as I haven’t seen every tram route in the world I cant make that judgement, regardless the riverside was extremely beautiful.

2. Cheap markets

Stay in Budapest didn’t cost us much at all to get good quality accommodation and food. In general Hungary is a very cheap country. What makes it even better is Budapest’s indoor market, it’s such a cute place to visit and buy gifts for your friends and family. And everything is incredibly cheap!!!

3. Friendly people

Out of all the places I have travelled to so far this year I would say Hungarian are defiantly one of the nicest and most friendly people I have came across. I was very nervous about traveling to east Europe, as I had no idea if people would be friendly to someone like me and if anyone would help me if I needed it. However I learnt to never judge a book by its cover or people from what you have heard. There was always someone who would help us with directions and people were very sociable and wanted to talk to you and get to know you. Overall I felt very welcome and happy during my short stay

4. Europe’s largest outdoor ice rink

Our tour guide suggested us to visit the Ice rink in Budapest that is apparently Europe’s largest ice rink, as it was very cold at the time we thought why not. I was a really great place to be, it was so lively and just so much fun!!!

5. The best café in the world!!!

The New York café in Budapest is literally named the world’s best café, which in my opinion is kind of like bragging. But all jokes aside the café was amazing, it literally felt like I just walked into a castle. From top to bottom this place was stunning and the food was really good (and reasonably priced) too. As I haven’t been to every café I cannot conclude if this is the best café in the world but it is defiantly the best café I have ever seen. The experience is well worth it!!!

6. Remarkable history

Budapest hold a lot of history which can be very interesting to learn about. I would recoomend going on the free walking tour of Budapest to get a brief understanding of the rich history of the country

7. SHARKS and SNAKES!!!

Now this may not sound like a good reason to visit a place because why would anyone want to go to a place full of deadly creatures. But I am actually talking about the Budapest Tropicarium, which is a zoo and aquarium. This may not be appealing to everyone but I love sharks and snakes so when I heard there was a aquarium/zoo I can go check out I had to go! The place was great they had so many different creatures and we were even able to touch the stingrays :)

8. Peaceful nights

The nights in the main city area are very relaxing and calm. I loved walking around the city at night it felt very safe and really relaxing

9. Colourful streets

10. The riverside

Walking along the riverside was just so calming and peaceful; it doesn’t feel as if you are in a large city everything is so quite. The view is amazing you can just literally sit there for hours and talks with your friends.

To sum everything up I would really recommend anyone to visit Budapest, it really will not be a disappointment and the city holds so much more than you may think.

Thank you, I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I will see you soon.

Bye :)
